Lifeflow guided meditation retreats give you time to rest, to restore your energies and the opportunity to let go of deadlines and busyness. You can learn to nurture yourself, restore a sense of balance and well-being, and open up to nature. No prior meditation or retreat experience is required to attend one of our retreats. They are held at Tara Hills Retreat Centre, which is only 45 minutes drive from Adelaide.

Teachers and approach

Each teacher has at least ten years of individual meditation training, including many months of advanced retreat practice. They have all been trained in guiding meditations and leading courses and retreats for people from all walks of life. In all Lifeflow Retreats we practise techniques that are useful in the retreat situation and can also be applied to everyday life. We aim to teach in a way that lets you link the experiences and understanding of Lifeflow Meditation throughout your life.

Accommodation and meals

There are 10 Standard single rooms. Each room has a good quality single bed, storage cupboard, plus a heater and fan. The building is very well insulated, and is pleasant throughout the year. Our new architecturally designed accommodation building, in use from June 2015, features four rooms (either single or double) all with lovely north facing views across the valley and their own en suite facilities. All meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner; includes snacks in between meals. We serve delicious, fresh, healthy, mostly vegetarian food. (If you have any special food requirements, eg gluten-free, lactose intolerance etc, please bring any additional items you may need; soy milk is provided.)

Discounts and concessions


  • Early Bird discount: book and pay four weeks before the retreat starts and get a 10% discount. (Six weeks for 7-day retreat)
  • Members receive a 10% discount off the full fee for public retreats and courses. Refer to our Membership page for full details. Member discount is not valid in conjunction with Early Bird discount.
  • Concessions
      The concession rate is available on Standard single rooms only for people who currently hold one of the following:
      • Full time student card
      • Health Care card
      • Pensioner Concession card
      Please present your concession card when starting a retreat or when booking in person.


    A limited number of half fee scholarships for weekend retreats are available for people with eligible concession cards (details above). Check out our Scholarships page for more info.

    Tara Hills Retreat Centre

    Tara Hills is the principal retreat centre for the Lifeflow Meditation Centre. It is set amongst the rolling hills, large gum trees and abundant bird life of peaceful Native Valley. It provides an ideal space for retreats: here you can open your senses to brilliant night sky, fresh air and expansive views that can be enjoyed from the property. It's easy to get to, yet it provides the seclusion of being in a quiet corner of the countryside. It's about a 45 minute drive from Adelaide, just past Nairne in the Adelaide Hills.
