Clarity of Wisdom meditation

Clarity of Wisdom

Sunday 25 March
11 am–12.30 pm
Tara Hills Retreat Centre

This visualisation is for developing a clear, sharp quality of wisdom – being able to hold the mind still to cut through to the core of an issue so that you can learn to discriminate clearly and precisely. It draws on the state of balance, of having mind and body together, which is the basis for developing a clear intellect and keeping your mind working with a question.

At our tantra meditation sessions we offer an experience that engages all of your senses – sight, touch, sound, smell and taste – it gives a far more powerful experience than what we can offer in the Lifeflow Studio in the city. The visualisation will be accompanied with a mantra (a series of words that are repeated, bringing an aural component to the meditation) which, once learnt, can be used to easily bring back the feeling of the meditation.

A shared meal follows the visualisation.

Ann Calvert

Sunday 3 June
11 am–12.30 pm
Tara Hills Retreat Centre

Join Lifeflow member Ann Calvert as she describes her meditation journey over the past thirty years.  In vignette style, Ann will describe the important moments of her life; the events which brought her to these teachings, the challenges and disappointments along the way, what has helped to hold her during those times and the joys and gifts that have emerged as she navigates through the world.

A shared meal follows the seminar.

Tantra Meditation and Dedication Ceremony

Tantra Meditation Innate Wisdom

Sunday 9 September
11 am–12.30 pm
Tara Hills Retreat Centre

This session will begin with a formal Dedication Ceremony - a public confirmation of the fact that someone has made a commitment to placing meditation work at the centre of their life. On this occasion we will be celebrating the public confirmation of Ann Calvert's and Ric Daniel's commitment to the work of meditation.

Innate Wisdom - Tantra Meditation

In everyday life we are used to the normal mental chatter of our minds. But there is a deeper, more fundamental quality that we can also tap. Religions externalise this in the form of deities, but the meditation tradition provides ways that we can access this core, or depth, of our own mind and heart. This Tantra Meditation provides the opportunity to open to this still, unconditioned quality, which arises when our head, heart and gut are united and working in harmony.  From there it's possible to free ourselves from the narrow perspectives that we often get caught in.

General information

These seminars, forums and formal visualisations provide a great opportunity to meet other Lifeflow members. Most are free, and open to all members – the only exceptions being the Tantra meditation sessions – see details below.

Each session includes a guided meditation. After each session there will be:

  • a share lunch in our beautiful Dining Hall – please bring a plate to share;
  • time to soak up the ambience of Tara Hills and the surrounding countryside;
  • and time to meet with other members of the Centre.

Bring a hat and walking shoes too if you'd like to take advantage of the walks in and around Tara Hills.

About Members' seminars

These seminars have been set up to provide an opportunity for members to share their experiences of meditation and its integration into everyday life. All members are encouraged to attend, to ask questions and gain some insights from fellow meditators' experiences. Each seminar is presented by a member of the Centre, who may or may not be a teacher – so it's a great way to hear about meditation from a variety of perspectives.

Each seminar is free for all Lifeflow members.

About Tantra meditation sessions

Each half-year, one of a series of 12 advanced meditations are held at Tara Hills. These meditations, with their mantras, can help you to become more familiar with different kinds of healthy emotional states. Through practice you can develop these states, and learn to access them at will.

Payment for this session is by donation.

These sessions also provide a great opportunity to connect with a broader community of meditators.
