Essence of Clarity
Sunday 5 March
11 am–12.30 pm
Tara Hills Retreat Centre
A mind that is clear, vibrant and engaged – this is the essence of clarity. Use this meditation to train in the habit of keeping your mind clear, letting go of the mental and emotional debris from the day, opening to a fresh, radiant stillness. Bring clarity into your mind, bring clarity into your life.
Adapted from the Tibetan system, it is one of the core meditations used in advanced practices at Lifeflow.

At our advanced meditation sessions we offer an experience that engages all of your senses – sight, touch, sound, smell and taste – it gives a far more powerful experience than what we can offer in the Lifeflow Studio in the city. The visualisation will be accompanied with a mantra (a series of words that are repeated, bringing an aural component to the meditation) which, once learnt, can be used to easily bring back the feeling of the meditation.
A shared meal follows the visualisation.

Trauma, acceptance and peace – a personal path
Presenter: Margaret Strathearn
Sunday 4 June
11 am–12.30 pm
Tara Hills Retreat Centre
Join Lifeflow member and Yoga teacher Margie Strathearn as she shares with us the effects of trauma from a personal perspective. Her presentation will address the roles that counselling, medication, yoga and meditation have with recovery. Margie will also look at the effects of ignoring trauma and the impact this has on the mind and body. She will discuss ‘the final straw’ – and finally finding acceptance, peace, and joy.

Everyone is welcome to stay for a shared lunch following the session. Please bring a plate of food to share.
Please refer to your member email updates for all the details on how to book.

Sunday 10 September
11 am–12.30 pm

Inner Bliss
This meditation is about cultivating a still, quiet bliss – a receptive quality that can pervade your whole mind and body. This is a quality that naturally opens to the experience of insight or seeing clearly into the nature of the mind and emotions.

About members' seminars
These seminars have been set up to provide an opportunity for members to share their experiences of meditation and its integration into everyday life. All members are encouraged to attend, to ask questions and gain some insights from fellow meditators’ experiences. Each seminar is presented by a member of the Centre, who may or may not be a teacher – so it’s a great way to hear about meditation from a variety of perspectives.
Each seminar is open to all Lifeflow members – payment by donation.
About Advanced meditation sessions
Each half-year, one of a series of 12 advanced meditations are held at Tara Hills. These meditations, with their mantras, can help you to become more familiar with different kinds of healthy emotional states. Through practice you can develop these states, and learn to access them at will.
For a detailed introduction of Advanced Meditations read more in this article.
