Be nourished by nature

– reconnect with yourself

7-day retreat

6.30 pm Friday 15 September – 2 pm Thursday 21 September

Tara Hills Retreat Centre

classic

This retreat provides seven blissful days for an immersive experience in the nourishing natural environment of Tara Hills. Reconnect deeply with yourself and your surroundings. Although the science is clear on the health benefits of spending time in nature (think forest bathing), we often forget how healing the power of nature is for emotional wellbeing!

We will take a deep dive into the five elements of nature: earth, fire, water, wind and space. Focusing on one element each day will help explore different aspects of ourselves and how they can help us lead a full and rich life.  A toolkit of simple, practical tips and techniques to take home will support bringing these practices into busy everyday life.

Peramangk Elder and guest speaker Ivan Copley, will also take us on a story-telling journey through his culture, viewing nature through connection and relationship.

And that’s not all! The menu will highlight the wonderful world of Australian native foods  with their delicious and nutritious flavours, to complement the retreat theme. This is a retreat not to be missed …

Being immersed in the elements of nature nourishes me and brings joy to my heart. I never feel alone when I am in touch with nature.” Retreat leader, Ann Calvert
Hear Ann’s introduction to the spring 7-day retreat in the video below.

A 7-day retreat gives time for deep restoration and insight

The benefits of retreat are numerous and include feeling grounded, deep peace, awakening your senses, improved ability to focus and a welcome restoration of energy. Being on retreat provides the ideal conditions for exploring deeper states of calm and opening to the clarity from within that naturally develops when mind and body are deeply balanced.

Throughout the 7 days, you will experience guided meditations, deep relaxation, and (optional) gentle yoga. Plus, every day you will be nurtured with an abundance of wholesome, delicious food.

There is also plenty of free time for you to reflect, take long walks along the quiet country roads, nap in the afternoons or just sit with a cuppa taking in the beautiful views and abundant bird life of Tara Hills.

You will also learn practical techniques that can be taken into your everyday life.

Suitable for all levels of experience

Suitable for all levels of experience – beginners can start here, and experienced meditators can take their practice further and deeper.
