– nurturing new directions
2-day non residential retreat
9 am Sat 30 Jan – 3:30 pm Sun 31 Jan 2021
In this two-day retreat you will explore what it actually means to ‘come home’ within yourself – using a range of meditation techniques that can be used anytime and anywhere, not just when you are physically at home.
As we all have different lifestyles and demands on our time, and different reasons why we are drawn to meditate, there is no one-size-fits-all meditation practice. And for many of us, when we do physically come home, there is so much happening at home we find it difficult to develop a meditation practice for us to ‘come home’ internally.
At the end of the retreat you will have a clearer idea of how you can fit practical meditation techniques within your life to fulfil your desire and need to truly come home. You will learn to bring the qualities of calm, clarity, inner stillness and tranquillity into the whirlwind of life’s busyness.
Discover that the path to growth lies in letting go of having to control life, and learning to ride it instead; opening to the richness and fullness of life, opening to wider and deeper contexts.
The retreat day will begin at 9am, so you can still enjoy a weekend sleep-in or morning walk ☺ We will finish the retreat day at 3:30pm giving you plenty of time to enjoy the late summer afternoon, continuing with informal retreat practices if your lifestyle allows this.
Most importantly, you will be looked after and everything will be taken care of including a delicious vegetarian lunch and morning tea each day. Along with the retreat theory, there will be daily guided meditation sessions, gentle yoga classes and plenty of time for deep relaxation.
